The Study House, a private residence that was refurbished, extended, and completely transformed by creative teams at Studio 30 Architects,  is located in New Cross, London, England. The house, which keeps bright, natural lighting, comfortable seating, and other things that are important to working from home, was completed in 2015.

Thanks to the ingenuity of the designers, you might notice upon entering the house that the study spaces built into the home aren’t the typical stuffy desk areas that you might find on a university campus or in an old library. Instead, these architects built gorgeous sunlit rooms with skylights that shine down onto sprawling wooden tables flanked with chairs that allow group study, or even just spread out individual scholarship.

Would you rather study outside on a warm day? Then the stunning patio nook complete with comfy but supportive seats and a table that’s almost as big is nestled into the greenery, all ready for you to sit and read at.

Maybe you’d prefer an actual room to dedicate just to your work? Then head on upstairs and check out the actual study, a room complete with a big, efficient desk, a chair that will keep your posture right while you work, and even an easel, just in case your studies are based in the more artistic faculties.
